Belvedere 7
Exterior Design:
This Bellevue hillside home sits on a near 100% slope with concrete piles on the high side and a series of steel posts with X-braces on the low side that elevates the house 40 feet off the ground. A stilted foundation structure like this is common in the Pacific Northwest when building off lakes or mountainous terrain. SWW’s scope for this project included both the exterior and interior designs of the house. The Belvedere 7 project is a great example that no site is impossible when faced with geographical challenges and shows how beautiful a difficult build can be.
